The use of technology is a major part of everyday living within the 21st century. From research, social media, to entertainment, the reliability of all ages, 1 to 99, is mainly on the use of different technology to complete everyday tasks.
The incorporation of technology within classrooms is beneficial as it provides students opportunities to enhance skills and showcase their creativity and imagination. Due to technology's flexible nature, there are many programs and devices that caters to different syllabus and student needs, allowing teachers to create more engaging activities, leading to more efficient learning environments.
As students use technology during their earlier years of schooling, educators provide the opportunity to develop students' technological skills through the use of technology in a wide range of ways within their schooling - therefore preparing them for their future workforces as many work places require technological savvy skills (Cox, 2009)

Reasons to showcase why technology can be greatly valued in learning environments:
According to the study of CompTIA, 9 out of 10 students believe that the use of technology within their schooling life to develop these 21st century skills (such as problem solving complex skills and collaboration) have successfully prepared them for their future jobs. (Cox, 2009)

Based on the CompTIA study, as educators and parents provides students with the opportunity to use technological devices and softwares, their ability to retain information is improved due to the many ways content is provided (e.g. online books/maths etc.) (Cox, 2009)
|
As technology has a complex nature, it is able to cater to different learning environment situations, such as varying audiences, tasks, purposes, disciplines and a differentiation for different student intelligences. More information about Gardner's Multiple Intelligences can be found here.

As previously stated that technology is a part of our everyday living. Therefore as students are able to access technology, in and out of a school environment, educators can encourage life-long learners as essential learning processes are explored within schools. Through the integration of technology in the classroom, students are provided with tools that will support them within the 21st century. (Cox, 2009)

Curious students will be able to successfully build strong content knowledge wherever they find it as technology provides them with online dictionaries, websites and online journals for reliable online research and allowing students to successfully follow academic guidelines (Murray, 2016).
|
Many online programs and softwares such as Kahoot and online blogging websites allows teachers to assess students' learning throughout the learning term or at the end of a unit of work. Technology can be an assessment of and for learning.
